A Daily Practice To Increase Happiness

Make no mistake.

We are under attack.

Bombarded on every side with a never ending list of things to buy.

And all these things are magic.

Because when you buy them they’re going to make you:

There’s just one teensy, tiny, little problem. None of the damn products work. Not a single one.

So what’s the answer?

We need to shift our thinking from what we can get to what we can give.

The more we can give of ourselves, our time and our energy, the more we feel fulfilled and happy.

Trust me. It’s true.

Kindness is contagious and ripples out into our communities, one small act at a time.

Today’s Challenge

I want you to go ahead and commit one act of service for someone in your life today.

It doesn’t have to be a huge grand gesture like planning an overseas trip or saving a life. In fact, it’s the simple, thoughtful acts of generosity which we practice on a daily basis that leave us feeling fulfilled.

Think of something simple like doing the dishes, grabbing the groceries, making a cup of tea, taking the dog for a walk or cleaning the bathroom.

Then step back, feel your heart expand and watch the people around you glow just a little brighter.
